Yvonne Ortiz moved to San Francisco in 2014 to pursue her dreams and career in fashion design. She worked for a vintage musical theater and received the San Francisco Bay Area Theater Critics Award in Costume Design for the play “The Boy Friend” in 2015.

She taught children pattern-making, sewing, fit and fabrication as an intern with Lemon Twist (A boutique located in the Mission District) in 2015. She eventually taught her own fashion design class at the Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts in 2017.

She received her Bachelors in Science for Apparel Design and Merchandising in 2016 at SFSU. Although her primary focus leans towards fashion design, she also enjoys styling for photo shoots.
